School Board

As an Independent Public School Byford Primary School has a School Board. An elected School Board meets twice a term. This board will consist of:

  • The Principal
  • Two elected staff members
  • Five to seven elected school community members
  • One community member

The role of the Board is to take part in:

  • Formulating Codes of Conduct, establishing and reviewing the school’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions
  • Contribute to the school's Delivery and Performance Agreement (DPA) which is a document that summaries what the school wants to achieve in the future and how it plans to get there. the agreement is signed off by the Chair of the Board, the Principal and the Director General of Education.
  • Financial planning to support the above
